Soulful Spaces: Lydhurst ~ a Sussex Retreat Space.

Lydhurst is a large place, with large botanical gardens, holiday cottages and plans in the works for more. But at the centre of the estate is the retreat space, a place where you can float around the collection of buildings and shepherds huts through the long grass with the sound of the waterfall narrating your being. A place where yoga mats are rolled out among the trees and peaceful walks around the lake bring a sense of freedom and ease.

I’ve spent a fair few evenings at the space over the past few years while all the finishing touches have been put into place: either in the van, at one of the foraging events or staying in the shepherds huts ready to catch the morning light. I’ve seen deer, badgers, a kingfisher and heard the owls echoing through the valley.

I’m so excited for this space, to see what friendships are forged around the fire, what people learn about themselves in the valley, the peace people find by the water. Memories made and hearts opened. An epitome of a soulful space.

Email Lydhurst to enquire about the retreat space.
